Your New Job Title: Mandarin speaking Account Executive - Commodities (with sponsorship), London

To be successful in this role our client has said it is essential that candidates:

  • are fluent in Mandarin Chinese
  • have bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Financial Engineering or Economics or similar
  • have account management experience in commodities projects

What You'll be Doing:

Marketing:

  • Focusing on Chinese Market. This may include concentration by product area, geographical area or by business area (i.e. funds, producers, manufacturers).
  • To represent company at conferences and events in a professional manner.
  • To adhere to business plans where set.
  • To represent the group and to market the group where appropriate.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure regulatory and commercial conduct towards customers is professional at all times.
  • Ensure our team is delivering a full service to customer by offering all products and services.
  • Ensure regular contact with customer, both verbal and visits, where necessary.
  • Build and manage long- term relationships with customers.
  • Provide sound advice that is in keeping with the regulatory environment in which you are operating.

Prospecting:

  • To actively identify and seek new business contacts.
  • Liaise with Risk (including with but not limited to Credit, Legal and Documentation) and Compliance Departments where necessary for the development of existing and prospective business.
  • Complete full and detailed meeting reports after visiting present or prospective customers within five business days of returning to work in the office.
  • Be in regular contact with your immediate manager with respect to day-to-day trading issues.
  • Be in regular contact with your immediate manager with respect to training and knowledge issues.

The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Fluent in both Mandarin and English
  • At least bachelor degree
  • Good understanding of credit, compliance and risk issues.
  • Good knowledge of traded instruments.
  • General customer care skills.
  • Knowledge of market competition
  • Strong inter-personal skills, diplomacy and clarity.
