What You'll be Doing Each Day:

  • Administration of the wholesale banking investment and treasury products which may include but not be limited to Deposits, FX, Money Market lending and borrowing, Bonds, Swaps, Derivatives, Precious Metals, FRA, IRS and etc.
  • Establish the framework and process procedures for investment and treasury administration functions, administrate and perform the day to day operations of the branch.
  • Process and verify transactions in the banking treasury system for all Investment and treasury business.
  • Responsibilities under the MIFIR and EMIR regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Act as the position keeper for operations, compiling and submitting all positions to the treasury team in a timely manner.
  • Perform the administrative functions for opening client accounts and maintaining customer account files.
  • Interact with and stand in for other members of the operations team covering treasury operations, clearing and trade finance.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the Head of Operations or Senior Management.
  • Day to day manage, process, input and verify of all deals prepared/input by the Investment and treasury team.
  • Prepare payment instruments manually where required in relation to Operations duties.
  • Manage the communications or confirmations to correspondents and clients in relation to treasury business queries from correspondents and clients.
  • Responsible for the day to day processing of Deposits, FX, Money Market lending and borrowing, Bonds, Swaps, Derivatives, Precious Metals, FRA, and IRS.
  • Monitor all currency cash positions and cash flows, report to Head of Operations and treasury team in a timely manner.
  • Monitor all administrative processes in relation to bonds and derivative products.
  • Monitor the SWIFT message queues related to treasury operations.
  • Prepare M.I. and statistical reports related to treasury processing.
  • Provide Operational support and cover to other Operations functions including loan, clearing and trade finance.
  • Responsible for the day to day regulatory reporting for operation department, such as MIFID and EMIR.
  • Keep the Business Continuity Plan updated for the treasury products.

The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Fluent written and spoken Mandarin and English
  • Relevant level of experience as a Treasury /Operations Manager or similar in Corporate Banking sector
  • Good experience of all back-office functions related to Treasury Operations including Money Market, FX, bond and derivatives
  • Good experience of regulatory reporting
  • Strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Able to build effective relationships across the business.
  • Good knowledge of operational resilience.
  • Good knowledge of the UK Regulatory (CASS, SYSC, COBS) requirements and Outsourcing arrangements and concepts.
