Your New Mandarin Job Title: Mandarin speaking Senior Associate, London

The Skills You'll Need: Fluent written and spoken Mandarin, working experience in banking/finance.

What You'll be Doing Each Day:

  • Assist the team in management of new transactions from start to finish, including transaction analysis, origination process, credit process and documentation process of all REF Investment and Development transactions
  • Assist the team in liaising with third party professionals such as Valuer, Monitoring Surveyor and Legal Counsel including agreeing scope of works, obtaining fee quotes, preparing and issuing instruction letters;
  • Assist the team in reviewing & providing feedback/comments on Property, Tax, Financial & Legal due diligence reports, such as Overview of Certificate on Titles, Right of Lights, Monitoring Surveyor Report, Environmental Report and Valuation Report;
  • Assist the team in reviewing and Negotiating facility & security documentations to ensure that the documents reflect Credit Approval and deal with issues highlighted in the due diligence reports if necessary;
  • Managing and liaising with internal and external parties to complete deal Execution & Completion process such as Closing mechanism and drawdown process;
  • Assisting the Head of REF and other REF team colleagues in day to day business requirements when required including but not limited to;
  • Undertaking all aspects of new transactions such as producing Term Sheet, constructing excel debt modelling, researches and completion of due diligence on the deal and completing credit papers for new businesses;
  • Completion of PowerPoint presentation and pitch books for new prospects;
  • Attending internal/external meetings, seminars and conferences;
  • Undertake regular market and industry research with a view to increase customer base in line with the Bank’s risk appetite and credit policies.
  • Completion of Pre & Post-Lending tasks such as KYC, covenant monitoring & annual review for existing customers;
  • Liaise with other departments including Risk Management, Loan Administration, Legal Compliance and Banking departments;
  • Attending industry events and conferences;
  • Assist the team in cross selling other department products to existing and potential clients within the designated region, with particular focus on the development of deposit, FX, and other ancillary businesses;
  • Undertake various administration duties in support of the Head of Department and the requirements of the Bank.

The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Ability to analyse strengths and weaknesses of projects/structure in such transactions successfully taking into account macro & micro economic environment, associated risks to the transactions, regulatory & legal implication, and counterparties involved;
  • Ability to analyse financial statements

Job status: Perm

Start date: ASAP

Working hours: 9-5 with flexibility when necessary, hybrid.
