Who You'll Be Working for:  

A multinational global dairy producer is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join their IT Team to modernise the way the business works through smart development, integration, automation, and effective change delivery.

Main responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimise SQL Server solutions including complex queries, stored procedures, and data models to support business systems, integrations, and reporting.
  • Develop technical solutions using SQL, scripting languages (Python/PowerShell), and automation tools.
  • Build and support system integrations using APIs, SFTP, and integration platforms.
  • Prepare SQL-driven datasets and maintain BI dashboards using Tableau (with some exposure to Power BI).
  • Work with business teams to understand processes, gather requirements, and identify opportunities to improve systems and data flows.
  • Contribute to business change initiatives through process mapping, analysis, and solution design.
  • Challenge existing practices and promote scalable, modern approaches that improve efficiency and data quality.
  • Follow best-practice development processes including version control, testing, and peer review.
  • Produce technical documentation and knowledge articles and deliver work streams within wider projects.

The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Strong SQL Server experience including complex queries, stored procedures, query optimisation, and relational data modelling.
  • Comfortable working directly with relational databases and large operational datasets.
  • Demonstrable development experience using scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical solutions.
  • Experience preparing SQL datasets and supporting BI reporting using tools such as Tableau.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and structured development practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Curious, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative.
  • Qualified through experience, apprenticeship, or relevant education (no specific degree required).

Desirable Skills/Experience/Knowledge:

  • Comfortable working in legacy environments with a view to modernise.
  • Experience with SSIS, automation/orchestration tools, or process automation.
  • Awareness of EDI concepts (no deep specialist knowledge required).
  • Experience working with ERP systems or large business applications.
