Settlement Clerk (JAPANESE speaker)

Who you'll be working for:
Well-established small international financial organisation based in the City requires a Japanese speaking Settlement Clerk to join their team. The ideal candidate will be efficient, numerate and accurate since the role is a highly specialised administrative role.

What you'll be doing each day:

-Make settlements daily report/schedule
-Run off Euroclear report each morning
-Check trade settlements each morning
-Check trade settlement on in house system against trades settled on report
-Check trades for the next day are matched with counter party
-Chase counter parties of any trades which have not been matched
-Check Euroclear balances agree with those on the in house system each morning
-Check to see if any coupons on redemptions are due
-Compose letters to advise client’s of pending funds
-Transfer funds to appropriate account
-Check DTC settlement details and transfer funds to appropriate account

MTNs New Issue Documentation
-With agent, check swap conditions and final details for notes, confirm identity of paying and fiscal agent, obtain ISIN code and prepare payment instructions.
-With issuer, be familiar with programme and liaise with legal/documentation dept of issuers to prepare final terms (or pricing supplement), dealer’s confirmation and dealer’s accession letter. Discuss with issuer or colleague to ensure the terms and conditions are appropriate and in line with the execution, if needed.
-With swap counterparty, obtain copy of swap confirmation and confirm that details are coinciding with our confirmation and final terms. Complete a “notice of up-front fee” sheet and inform back office of swap fee.

The skills you need to succeed:
·Competent knowledge and skills of Excel (formula, pivot table, graphs) is necessary
·Experience as Administrator in Finance is preferable.
·Good communication skills both in Japanese and English
·Professional attitude towards work

Status: Permanent/ Full-time
Location: The City, Zone 1
