Reporting to: Head of Financial Markets

Your Main Responsibilities:

  • Work in harmony with HOD responsible for promoting and cross selling products to achieve flows and profits meeting bank targets.
  • Responsible for developing local clients FX, rates, options, commodities and other derivative business.
  • Coordinate communication with HO GFM business and provide support to all areas of FM as required.
  • Be Responsible for leading the team and build a professional sales force focusing on Institutional, Chinese and cross-border clients. Providing and executing business strategy.
  • Comply with local and HO regulatory requirements strictly.
  • Executing business development strategy for Financial Markets business under HO and London business strategy (KPI).
  • Work with Relationship Managers, product partners and domestic branch to explore new opportunities to bundle existing products and/or drive new cross-product development in response to institutional, Chinese background and cross-border clients’ needs.
  • Market generate revenue and volume growth for a portfolio of existing and potential customers.
  • Communication and visiting clients to provide solutions and achieve profits and flows.
  • Coordinating communication with HO.
  • Promoting electronic platform and assisting system changes/upgrades task.
  • Undertaking economic research, market updates and client pitch materials.
  • Undertaking regularly business analysis, report and application as required by HO or
  • Be responsible for training coverage teams, new staff and Interns.
  • Other task assigned by HOD and management.

Supervision responsibilities:

  • Leading and mentoring the Institutional and Chinese sales team.
  • Review and report all relevant administrative documentation and liaise with various supporting
  • functions as required.
  • Performance reporting.

The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Knowledge of Financial Markets/Pricing/Operation/Compliance
  • Team leader, diligence, good communication skills
  • Relevant professional qualification as required i.e. PRA/FCA Registered Exams or Exemptions or Banking/Finance degree or equivalent or willingness to undertake relevant qualification
  • Relevant professional qualification as required i.e. Banking / Finance degree or equivalent
  • Comprehensive experience of Financial Markets
  • Capacity to proactively anticipate, identify and resolve problems
  • Strategy orientated with ability to multi-task
  • Desire to drive projects from ideation or assignment to execution
  • Appetite for challenging assignments
  • Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills in English and Chinese

Job status: Permanent

Start date: ASAP

Working hours: 9-5 with flexibility when necessary
