What You'll be Doing Each Day:

  • Be responsible for management of strategic risk in the bank
  • Understand the bank’s strategies across all business lines and products and the 5 year plan and review its appropriateness for the bank and relevance to the banking sector
  • Undertake review of the strategies and define any risks the bank is exposed to and oversee implementation plans and that steps and process is in place to manage any risks here

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop a strategic risk management framework for the bank
  • Monitor and review the implementation of strategic risk of the bank regularly
  • Reporting and filing on strategic risk management
  • Research on peer bank’s strategic risk management to ensure best practice
  • Contribute proactively to review and update of the bank’s 5 year strategy plan that drives overall bank direction
  • Assist Head of London Research Centre to implement the Head Office’s global strategies, and work closely with strategic project teams and managers across the Group to align on work planning and problem solving
  • Assist the Board of Directors and the Executive Management Committee in the routine work, e.g. board meetings, various regulatory reports for supervisory authorities, etc.
  • Other tasks allocated by HoD or EMCs e.g strategic important projects of the bank

The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Strong academics with a degree, ideally in business or economics
  • Relevant level of experience in successful strategic risk management in the banking sector
  • Proven knowledge of strategic risks and strategic risks management
  • Ability to support on strategic projects
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Hardworking, dedicated and self motivated.
  • Able to multi-task, work to tight deadlines and operate under pressure
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong team work ethic

Job status: Perm

Start date: ASAP

Working hours: 9-5 with flexibility
