Your New Job Title: Mandarin Speaking Financial Reporting Accountant

The Skills You'll Need: Financial reporting experience preferably in banking or financial service companies, Mandarin fluent with the ability to create reports in Chinese

Your New Salary: Depending on experience

Who You'll Be Working for: an international bank

What You'll be Doing Each Day:

To prepare monthly and quarterly reports to Finance & Accounting Department, Management & Information Department of Parent Bank;
To prepare the monthly domestic system important financial institution reports to regulators in China
To prepare the quarterly and semi-annual information pack as requested by the external auditor
To prepare the quarterly and annual reports as requested by the Ministry of Finance in China
To be responsible for the quarterly intercompany transaction reporting as requested by Parent Bank
To assist in the preparation of performance assessment analysis report by Entity, Department and Relationship Manager level based on FTP policy of the bank on quarterly basis;
To assist in the automation of the reports within FC and monitoring the progress with Parent Bank IT development centre
To be responsible for the annual tax return information for Branch as per Parent Bank’s requirement
To assist in the Maintenance of accounts related standing data of banking system and its sub-systems;
To fulfil other duties allocated by Head and/or Deputy Head of FC

The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

Degree or similar qualification in Finance or Accounting
Banking experience, preferably within operating expense journal posting roles
Manipulates data to prepare the financial reporting (basic Excel required)
Basic technical and analytical skills
Manages operational risk by building strong processes and quality control routines
Demonstrates strong communication skills
Actively listens
Clearly and concisely communicates with other colleagues within the Bank
Seeks to understand end to end processes
Builds strong partnerships and leverages colleague’s expertise
Effectively manages time and follows through on commitments
Balances close attention to detail with focus on broader context
Encourages collaboration, connection and team work
Fluent in both Mandarin and English

Job status: Permanent
Start date: ASAP
Working hours: 9 to 5
