Who You'll Be Working for:
This is long term project based role, working for listed building. Successful candidate will stay on the site (client site) during the construction term.
What You'll be Doing Each Day:
·To provide leadership and coordination of mechanical & electrical construction management staff allocated to a project and manage the performance of the team.
·For ensuring delivery of agreed mechanical & electrical construction performance targets for the defined project or projects.
·Manage all aspects of work and site control for the construction phase of a project on behalf of the Project Manager.
·To ensure adherence to all company management systems and license conditions.
·For ensuring delivery of Safety, Quality, Environmental, Security, Health (SQESH) performance against company policy and management systems
·To manage all onsite interfaces and de‐conflict tasks and alleviate risks.
·To ensure understanding and application of all responsibilities with regard to the Company’s Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards.
·To ensure that all mechanical, electrical & building services construction activities on the project comply with all legal requirements.
·To ensure that mechanical & electrical construction management resources utilised are Suitably Qualified Experienced Personnel (SQEP) and are managed cost-effectively and adequately resourced to ensure delivery of all projects.
·To be proactively involved in supporting the Project Manager throughout the duration of the project.
·To provide mechanical & electrical technical advice as required during the development and construction phases.
·To undertake accurate reporting of all mechanical & electrical activities and issues which affect the progress and quality and which provide a reflection of the contractor’s performance against the agreed contract programme.
·To manage and co‐ordinate the integration of the contractor design, manufacture and
·implementation packages of work as required by individual mechanical & electrical projects.
·To maintain appropriate records of all work activities.
·To aid the early identification and notification of contract variances, ensuring they are fully recorded, to be processed through the project management team.
The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:
·BTEC (Business and Technology Education Council) ONC(Ordinary National Certificate) / HND
(Higher National Diplomas) or equivalent standard in a Construction related discipline.
·CITB Managing Safety in Construction Certificate, such as Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) IOSH Managing Safety (Construction).
·NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health.
·Japanese speaker on a business level
