Position: JAPANESE SPEAKING Buy-Side Relationship Manager – Financial Markets

Location: Tokyo, Japan

 Employment Type: Full-Time

 Salary: ¥9,000,000–¥9,500,000 per year + ~10% bonus

 Start Date: Immediate

About the Role:

 We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join a global financial research and analytics firm that supports strategic decision-making for financial institutions and asset managers worldwide. This role focuses on building relationships and gathering insights from buy-side clients in the Japanese market. You will leverage your financial market knowledge to support high-quality research through direct engagement with key decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule and conduct interviews with analysts and executives from selected financial institutions
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through face-to-face and phone interactions
• Collect and input data into Salesforce through conversations and surveys
• Contribute to research insights by combining relationship-building with data collection
• Support field research activities via primary or third-party research initiatives
• Develop and drive buy-side marketing strategies in Japan
• Enhance brand presence at industry events and associations, and explore media collaboration opportunities
• Coordinate key accounts with global colleagues
• Translate selected materials into Japanese as needed

What We’re Looking For:

Required:

• Business-level proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N1) and English
• Professional experience in banking or the financial industry
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet targets
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized, persuasive, and able to manage time effectively
• Persistent and detail-oriented in research and analysis tasks
• Deep understanding of financial markets (Preferred)
• Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills (Preferred)
• Experience collaborating effectively within a team (Preferred)
