 Job Title: Stores and Dispatch Operative

Your New Salary: up to £15 p/ hour

Location: Orpington, 100% on-site

Status: Temporary 3-month assignment (with possible extension)

Start: ASAP

Working hours: 8am - 4.30 Mon-Thurs, 8am - 1pm Friday 
37h per week

Who You'll be Working For:

To demonstrate this, we are now in a modern purpose-built site in Orpington, Kent which was built with manufacturing, service, and employees as its core values. In addition to our head office, we also have sales staff in China, Singapore, and offices in America.

Stores and Dispatch Operative - Responsibilities:

  • Receive items through goods inwards, checking for quality and book them onto the computer system
  • Pick orders for production, in a timely manner
  • Book in works orders from production into their correct locations
  • Serve assembly and workshop staff over the stores counter
  • Audit the system and correct any discrepancies
  • Ensure stock holding is accurate
  • Reject substandard goods and arrange for it to be sent back to the supplier.
  • Not essential but ideally be able to assist with loading and unload lorries using the forklift (fork lift licence required)
  • Keep all relevant teams updated regularly.
  • Pack and dispatch goods to customers and subcontractors
  • Book couriers as required
  • Complete dispatch documentation in line with export requirements

Stores and Dispatch Operative - The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Good communicator
  • Understanding of ERP systems and a knowledge of computerised stores environment
  • Good time management
  • Attention to detail
  • Forklift truck license (desired not essential)
  • Good numerical accuracy
  • Able to carry out light lifting duties
