Hours: 5 days a week (including weekends). Shift work between 07:30-22:30.

Who you'll be working for:
Newly created role! You will be working at new shop, working for a company HQ in Japan where this award winning company enjoy excellent reputation for their stunning and artistic floral and plant creations
(bouquets, arrangements, installation, floral sculpture/ setting) and workshops. The work location is at a concession in a world famous prestigious store.
What you'll be doing each day:
Day-to-day, you’d have to help your customers select what they’re looking for,
create bespoke bouquets of flowers for customers as well as designing arrangements to be sold as they are.
◾ Purchasing merchandise
◾ Receiving deliveries (unpacking and conditioning)
◾ Selecting flowers according to freshness, seasonality and appearance for displays and decoration.
◾ Creating original bouquets and bespoke bouquets for individual customers.
◾ Helping customers choose the right flowers for a particular occasion.
◾ Advising customers on plant and flower after-care.
◾ Taking flower orders by telephone and arranging delivery.
◾ Basic administrative tasks such as book keeping.
The skills you need to succeed:
◾ Mother tongue standard English
◾ Previous retail experience, or customer services experience would be advantageous.
◾ A genuine love of flowers and a desire to work with them.
◾ Enthusiasm for the profession is perhaps the most key trait, alongside a key eye for design and a willingness to learn.
◾ You’ll also need good interpersonal and communicative skills to interact with customers and understand what they’re asking for, as well as a flair for working with plants.
◾ A keen eye for design, colour matching and style.
◾ Some knowledge of plant care.
◾ Good interpersonal skills, good at dealing with the public.
◾ Good time management skills; you may be your own boss one day.
◾ The ability to work quickly and efficiently while under pressure; florists can be busy places.
◾ Interested to work in Japanese environment (culture, language).
◾ Preferred to have BTEC levels 2 (First Diploma) and 3 (National Award) in Floristry, not essential.
