HR generalist experience in the financial service industry would be a bonus

Who You'll Be Working for: an international bank

What You'll be Doing Each Day:


  • Responsible for staffing tasks for the internal appointments, including recruitment, offer and contracts and new hire orientations;
  • Lead annual benefits review and renewal process, ensuring the compensation and benefits practices are both competitive and cost effective;
  • Providing HR solutions to the line managers on a variety of employee relations issues;
  • Oversee and manage the annual performance management appraisal process and make improvement suggestions as it evolves;
  • Familiar with local regulatory requirement in Banking industry and ensure our bank’s remuneration policy is compliant with local regulations at an all-time base.
  • Manage external HR service providers to ensure deliverables are met and regular monitoring is in place;
  • Liaise with UK border Agency relating to Sponsor License and relevant sponsor duties;
  • Liaise with Finance Department to provide headcount and budget reports;
  • Responsible for administering the local staff payroll including assistance in submission of Annual Returns for relevant PAYE
  • Work with the line managers to identify and prioritise annual learning and development activities;
  • Responsible for managing the Receptionist;
  • Perform other HR operational tasks as and when instructed by your line manager


The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:


  • Experience as HR generalist in the UK
  • Eligibility to work in the UK on a full-time basis
  • Knowledge of up to date UK Employment Law and HR regulations
  • Experience in Financial Service industry not essential but desirable
  • Multi-tasking ability
  • Fluency in Mandarin will be an advantage although not essential
  • Degree level or equivalent education
  • CIPD qualification is a great advantage but not essential


Job status: Fixed Term Contract 14 to 15 months, Maternity Cover

Start date: ASAP

Working hours: 9 to 5
