What You'll be Doing Each Day:

The purpose of the Children’s wear Product Technologist role is to lead product technical development, risk assessment and garment approval. 

More specifically you will:
• Lead end to end quality of fit and construction 
• Partner with design and PD to translate design intent into product technical specifications 
• PLM administration management and data input - fit comments and size charts 
• Manage end to end coordination of seasonal fit meetings adhering to business critical path 
• Responsible for the fitting evaluation and amendments communication to vendors 
• Management of blocks and constructional quality standards 
• Ensure consistency of fit and quality 
• Assessment of garment construction and product risk 
• Conformance to standards and safety regulations 
• Creation and management of product standards and manuals 
• Identification of and management of garment testing process with external test houses 
• Resolution of test failures without product compromise 
• Identifying opportunities for cost engineering improvement 
• Analysis of non-compliant product 
• Care & content label approval 
• Lead and manage team projects aligned to core objectives 
• Develop relationships and effective communication with cross functional teams and vendors 
• Engage and elevate vendor technical teams 

The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

Strong technical design and product engineering skills (pattern cutting, construction, size, shape & fit) 
• Relevant degree level and/or relevant experience in a similar role 
• Experience within an apparel or related industry with key expertise in Children’s Wear products 
• Pattern knowledge and grading experience 
• Proven knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes 
• Raw Materials and product testing knowledge is a plus 
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills 
• Effective and influential communicator 
• Efficient and motivated 
• Innovative and self-driven, especially on product elevation ideas and implementation 
• PLM/PDM experience would be an advantage 
• Organised and structured 
• A team player with ambition to grow within the team and organisation
