Your New Job Title: Demand Planner

As a Demand Planner you will be responsible for partnering with the business to ensure as accurate as possible full year demand forecasts are agreed with sales and marketing, aligned with finance, and fed into the planning system as a phased demand for supply planning by the Global Planning team. This responsibility covers both domestic and FOB channels, and mainly happens through coordination of the business unit monthly SAR (Sales Analysis Review/Forecasting) process.

You will also be responsible for ensuring the business is made aware of situations where product supply does not support the business strategy (both for shortages and excesses), to maximize business opportunities and improve customer service level and supply against demand. This is mainly through ongoing S&OP reviews with the relevant parts of the business and is reliant on the availability of BU level reporting.

·Domestic and FOB Supply communication and coordination
·Inventory optimisation
·Portfolio management
·Secondary responsibilities include generating airfreight requests to global planning and action requests for high value material overbuy authorisations when needed, and if not covered by other roles

ØPrevious experience in Forecasting/demand planning in fast-moving consumer goods industry
ØMS Office including advanced MS Excel
ØSAP is advantageous
ØAttention to detail, able to work in a fast paced environment and highly organised
ØStrong communication and influencing skills
ØTeam player and thinker in terms of solutions derived from sound analysis
ØFlexible, self-starter with a high degree of independence
ØExcellent ability to work and communicate in multi-functional teams with multiple stakeholders
ØAmbitious, determined, results-oriented, with good presentation skills
ØWork well as part of a team
ØKeen on progressing with the business in the future
