Who You'll Be Working for:

What You'll be Doing Each Day:

·To take the lead with all aspects of on-boarding clients and broker-counterparties;
·Assisting the Head of China Desk with the on-boarding of Appointed Representatives and Tied Agents;
·Preparation of monthly regulatory reports which are disseminated by the team;
·Assisting the Head of China Desk with keeping up to date with new regulations;
·Liaising with clients to communicate the company’s AML and on-boarding requirements and procedures including distribution, explanation and full or partial completion of any relevant on-boarding documentation (forms, agreements, etc);
·Collection of any applicable supporting documentation/KYC and management of any such information/documentation
·Liaising with Compliance on all matters (including on-boarding, ad-hoc queries, 3rd party payments etc);
·Preparation of documentation and minutes;
·Ongoing KYC reviews and reports for all clients, dependent on risk rating
·Liaising with Legal to prepare necessary agreements

Other duties
·To assist other members of China Desk from time to time when needed
·Dealing with ad hoc translation/notarisation/apostille requests;
·Acting as main point of contact for clients for daily queries or requests when needed;
·Assisting preparation of client pitches and presentations.
·Other duties as required

The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:
·Fluent English – verbal and written
·Fluent Mandarin – verbal and written
·Experience in financial industry preferably in Compliance or client-facing roles
·Good educational background in finance
·In-depth knowledge of regulations, financial market, customer behaviour in both UK and China
·Professional qualification in Compliance or Investment Management preferred
·Confident and self-sufficient
·Entrepreneurial with a desire to be accountable and make a difference
·Ability to listen
·Self-Starter – able to work with minimal supervision
·Demonstrable ability to understand parameters of authority
·Ability to communicate clearly written and verbal
·Flexible and comfortable with a broad variety of duties that may change at short notice
·Genuine passion for job role and function
·Ability to navigate ambiguity and offer clear guidance to others

Job status: permanent
Start date: ASAP
Working hours: 9 to 6
