Kate was a co-founder of People First and instrumental in the sale to Staff Service in 2002. Kate has over 20 years’ experience within recruitment and served as Managing Director of People First for 8 years. She continues to serve on the board at People First and to contribute to the formulation of policy, business planning and strategy.

Out of hours Kate

Kate is one of the calmest people you will ever meet - perhaps because she practises yoga in her spare time! She also keeps us all up to date with all the latest words and phrases to use, thanks to her teenage children. Even when Kate’s not working, she’s working! She has helped to mentor young entrepreneurs as part of the Prince’s Trust and also helps children at a local school.

Katie at People First

Katie was a co-founder of People First and is the current Managing Director. With almost 15 years’ experience in the industry, she has an enviable network of contacts and a wealth of knowledge to draw upon. Katie has a clear and ambitious business plan to drive the business forward to its next evolutionary stage. We’re all very excited to have her steering the People First ship!

Katie loves her play time! There’s nothing she likes more than putting her feet up and watching the latest episode of “Balamory” or “Charlie and Lola”. She claims to be “co-viewing” with her young children. Hmmm…. She also loves to travel and most weekends, she’s in some glamorous location like St Tropez, Cape Town, Paris or even Wolverhampton!

Nicola at People First

Nicola has been with People First for 7 years. Having studied supply chain techniques and worked in HR, Nicola joined People First SUPPLY CHAIN and now heads up People First OFFICE SUPPORT. She became a director in September 05 and also has responsibility for in-house training as well as legal, compliance and health and safety issues. Her creative approach to problem-solving makes Nicola a good person to turn to in a crisis – for clients and colleagues alike.

Nicola spends a lot of time down at her local! Not just because she likes a tipple, but because she enjoys taking part in the weekly pub quiz. When she’s not testing her intellect, she’s in her garden, trying to cultivate her fresh flowers and veg, or watching her favourite rugby player, Laurence Dallaglio, supposedly for his technique!

Yaz at People First

Yaz has an all-round background in IT, finance and accounts within the banking & stockbroking sector. As payroll and accounts manager at People First, his role is crucial to the smooth running of operations at People First. Yaz isn't just handling the People First payroll, but the payroll of our substantial temp base, which certainly keeps him busy! If you are a People First temp, then in the event that you have a payroll query, rest assured that Yaz will sort it out for you in a jiffy!

Out of office Yaz

Yaz is an outdoors man. He's a keen cyclist and recently completed the London to Brighton Bike Ride for the tenth year in a row. He also likes bikes that are a little bit faster! He has a motorbike - a Honda Fireblade - which is his pride and joy. When he's not in his leathers, you can often find him on the golf course improving his handicap of 13. Unfortunately, in the UK he doesn't get too much opportunity to practise his favourite sports, though – skiing and baseball!

Dominic at People First

“Have you tried switching it off and on again?”
Dominic is not your typical IT manager and doesn’t hide away in a dark room. He makes himself heard – literally! He’s also an `appliance whisperer’ and has the ability to fix any machine, even when it looks as though it’s on its last legs. Dominic can turn his hand to anything practical, but whilst he’s a “Dom of all trades”, he’s also master of IT. He has kept our systems running smoothly and efficiently for the last 9 years and has helped us to refine our IT and telecoms infrastructure, as we have grown...

Out of hours Dominic

Dominic is a good person to have on your side. He has a black belt in karate, so approach with caution! He’s also very well connected: He’s been to Buckingham Palace a few times now and was recently spotted at the Queen’s garden party. If you’re looking to get yourself on the honours list, Dominic’s your man!

Nita at People First

For many of you, Nita will be the first person you speak to at People First, and she certainly gives the right impression. Nita is helpful and friendly and always knows exactly who to put you through to, so that your query will be dealt with quickly and efficiently. Our consultants really appreciate Nita’s excellent organisation skills and fast typing skills, and rely on her to provide the all-round administrative support they need.

Although from the other side of the world, Nita sounds very British indeed! Nita has spent time living in Japan, where she developed a love of karaoke, and is now continuing her overseas working experience. We are all looking forward to hearing her karaoke party piece, Billy Idol's White Wedding, but maybe we should take our ear plugs!
